Hi, a very warm welcome to my website.
My name is Jennifer Stroud and i run Peace of Mind Therapy, a practice located in the tranquil village of Burbage within easy reach of Hinckley, Nuneaton, Coventry and Leicester.
Here at Peace of Mind, whether your requirement is emotional or physical i treat you individually and am holistically trained in mind, body and energy.

The Mind Stuff......
I started off my journey as a personal interest really as i have always been fascinated by the mind and understanding people.
I studied at the University College of London, where i completed my studies gaining a Diploma in Integrative Clinical Hypnotherapy , Psychotherapy, CBT and also became a practitioner of NLP (Dip. Hyp).
I continued my studies there further to gain an advanced qualification as a Clinical NLP Practitioner (P.NLP) along with gaining a Foundation in Counselling skills.
I am a licensed member of the General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR) which is overseen by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC) and i am bound by a comprehensive Code of Ethics and Practice which include strict confidentiality without exception.
I am also C.R.B checked.
I decided to study to become a practitioner working with clients with a combination of humanistic psychotherapy / C.B.T and then developing and combining this with Hypnosis after finding out just how powerful and effective it can be.
The results are so much faster with Hypnosis than with talking therapies alone.
For me, there is NOTHING as rewarding as seeing a client free themselves from their problems to become the person they were really meant to be.
Rather than using drugs to mask a problem or condition, hypnosis allows people to use their own natural inner resources to bring about beneficial change.
The Body Stuff......
I studied Anatomy and Physiology and Massage (many years ago!) but decided to refresh this when i started my study as a Nutritionist and i have really started to see how the combination of the therapies i am now able to offer is making such great changes for my clients as i offer a truly holistic approach to health and wellness.
Often clients may come for one therapy, for example Reiki (which is energy work) and Hypnotherapy and many of my clients now comment on how they feel supported in overall health and wellbeing as i am able to offer knowledge into the physical aspect of the body and nutrition to greatly benefit my clients. For my clients , the ability to look holistically at the Mind, Body and Energy really is the key to a healthier way forward.
I believe that this is what you will benefit from, and i hope you feel supported whilst i offer you my knowledge in helping you make the connection between issues of mind,body and energy.
This is the true meaning of holistic work.
Some clients wish to come in purely for a relaxation treatment which is wonderful and others wish to understand where the emotional links are to their particular ailment.
I am fully qualified in Ayurvedic Indian Head Massage which i firstly learned in India during my many visits there. I re-looked at this to gain a qualification in this in the UK and also qualified in Holistic Health Massage at this time (i have Diplomas in both therapies).
I am also fully qualified as a Nutritionist , which i believe is important to give the back up support to my clients and in particular when working with clients on weight management programs (ie in hypnotherapy) i find it is vital. We may be unlocking emotional roots in weight issues, however the client also needs to be educated on healthy food choices for the future.
The Energy Stuff.....
In terms of Reiki, when i trained to become a Reiki practitioner I chose my school as the spiritual lineage from the Master took a direct line of teaching - 4th in line from Mikao Usui (Who founded Reiki in the 1920's in Japan) which personally when learning i found it important to work with an undiluted style of Reiki as there are so many variations in the west.
I love Reiki, it is a wonderful complementary therapy which is very gentle yet extremely effective and is very versatile and can be combined with Crystal Stone Therapy for even deeper energy work (in fact it can be combined with any of the holistic treatments also ).
I am also a Meditation Teacher and i run small classes where we work on chakra clearing (working on the health of the subtle body energies), Reiki Love & Light energy , Positive mental attitude, stress reduction , Goal Visualisation plus many other guided meditations (see the meditation tab).
